The new Clearlight Diamond Symphony is the first loudspeaker in the world to make use of the unique sonic properties of RDC material producing a cabinet with the lowest possible colouration. Thanks to their new design they are not only easy to install but are also living-room friendly. Despite their compact dimensions their fine dynamic performance makes them capable of filling rooms up to 80m2 with ease.
Drive units are "State of the Art" and in addition in the Symphony they are always working within their optimum limits. Another highlight is the extraordinary dispersion charateristics brought about by cleverly shaped enclosure.
No matter if you are sitting, standing or walking in your listening room, the music will remain balanced, with no phase shifting. This means that the sound stage remains stable in the room and is independent of any theoretical 'hot-spot'. Given good enough source material, the Clearlight Diamond Symphony is capable of truly holographic imaging. They produce voices and instruments with absolute self-confidence, never becoming unsettled and produce music as a whole rather than a collection of sounds thrown together.
This ability remains whether reproducing the subtlest nuances of a vocal performance or the power and dynamics of full orchestral timpani and unusually even at low levels, the dynamic range, if not volume, of a piece is preserved.

So what is RDC?

RDC stands for Resonance Dampening Compound. We know that accoustic waves, resonance, spreads within a homogeneous material at aconstant speed and direction. If we introduce another material, speed and direction are effected, resonance is influenced and cannot pass without being affected by the physical change in material. Therefore inhomogeneous materials do not conduct resonace well. RDC has been created from microgranules of materials at each end of the elasticity module with the same mass. The result is a very high mechanically stable inhomogeneous material that offers equal treatment of resonance frequencies across the audible range. Resonance is dampened equally.
