A 20 years experience in the Home Cinema video technology

Located in Paris and managed by Jean Claude YOUNES, this French company was born in 1982, being the First Company to import videoprojectors into the French Market.
Jean-Claude YOUNES started in 1986 to import and distribute the Vidikron brand, developping an innovating marketing policy based on the slogan « Le Cinéma à la Maison » (The Home Cinema). He established a strong retailers network in France, choosing them amongst the High End Hi-fi independent retail stores and Customs Installers.
Using this rich 15 years experience and willing to share his passion for the Home Cinema, Jean Claude YOUNES decided to create his own brand in 1996, based on a simple concept :
 
° To make people Dream, and so, to deliver High-End projectors.
° To bring the Dream back Home, and so, to propose middle-range to high-end relatively
« affordable » products.

All those products being, obviously, dedicated to the Home Cinema Use. Video and Dream... The name of the brand was evident : DreamVision.
Following the Brand Creating Concept, and because of our past experience with Vidikron, Jean Claude YOUNES decided to launch a range of CRT videoprojectors for Personal Customers, based on OEM Agreements with Christie (ex-ElectroHome, a brand that Jean-Claude YOUNES had been distributing on the French “presentation” market for 8 years) and Seleco.
In the Middle of the 90 ’s, the CRT technology was the only one able to display images with a Quality worthy of our Brand Concept (High requirements in terms of Color Management, Contrast Ratio and Cinema Rendition for Home Cinema Applications).

The DreamVision Marketing supported these big principles, and we particularly cared about the Advertising Campaign (Press) and the Quality of our Service (Commercial and Technical Training, Follow up of installations, High Reliability of our After Sales Service).
These big principles can only be carried on if you hire people, who have a real passion for their job. Meaning a Passion for Beautiful Pictures and Movies. All the employees in DreamVision feel concerned about the Company Strategy and put a lot of effort, energy and passion (love?) in order to reach our goal : To Provide Customers with Quality Video Solution for the Home Cinema Use.
That is really meaningful and lead to the involvement of every single employee for Business Orientation and Decision Making Process. At CES 99, DreamVision showed its first single DLP™ projector (based on a ODM DAVIS AS platform), the DreamVision DL500.
DreamVision has been, on this occasion, the first company in the world to introduce a Single DLP™ projector with a 3-segments colour wheel for Home Cinema use. For the very first time, a company was able to show an affordable projector able to display “true-to life” pictures, with a quality worthy of the big 3 guns CRTs !
Always at the spearhead, DreamVision was also the first company ever, to market performing scalers at an affordable price for the Home Cinema lovers.

Two years after, in August 2001, Jean Claude YOUNES decided to purchase a DAVIS AS DLP™ new platform of projector and to launch his first Home Made Product, especially designed (and not modified for) the Home Cinema Use : the Cinema Ten Pro !
Year 2003 was the beginning of the DreamWeaver saga, a complete and luxurious range of DLP projectors, from 576p to the latest 720p DarkChip3 technology. These projectors are famous all over the world for their state-of-the-art audacious design. In 2004, we released a true milestone in the Home Cinema market : the X3. This projector features with a great success the new Tri-DLP™ technology inside a astounding design. Once again, we use here the best of the Technology, the best available components and an unrivalled design style to offer you the best of the Home Cinema. And recently, we also introduced an entry-level 480p projector affectionately named Dreamy.
Since 1996, DreamVision has been developping and refining the latest advancement in digital display to provide with State Of The Art video products for Home Cinema Application. Today, DreamVision is still a reference on the high-end video market and keeps on developping new products, up to our customers’ expectations.
