Since 1981, loudspeaker have been our life. As we want people to enjoy music on a higher level, with more atmosphere and in varying forms, ELAC is committed to the highest possible quality.

We are dedicated to the perfection of loudspeaker engineering for you to dive into maybe unknown spheres of sound without restrictions on living ambience. To be able to produce uncompromising, hard-wearing, and modern products, ELAC is one of the few loudspeaker companies who build and produce the drive units - the motors - in-house thus continually extending their know-how.

Principles
The Kiel manufacturers relie on the success factors 'Innovation' and 'Quality' and promote technical advancement in their own house. This includes room-acoustic research and the development of computer programs for loudspeaker design and set-up as well as a specialised and highly vertically integrated production.

Made in Germany
For us, the challenge lies in coming up to the traditional ´Made in Germany´ in the sense of quality, longevity, and a technological edge. In this, the sound philosophy can be called ´international´ rather than ´typically German´.

The customer´s rule
ELAC is entirely directed by the customer´s satisfaction. Naturally, this also includes quality management and environment management according to DIN ISO 14001. ELAC quality encompasses all production steps, but also the sales procedures and after sale service. Part of this is technical consult by specialists as well as warranty services.

Do-It-Yourself
Development and production under the same roof secure coordination of even the smallest detail. For this, the highly vertically integrated production at ELAC is a major prerequisite. Every working step, from punching the voicecoil formers and winding the voicecoils up to special treatments of membranes and the production of magnets, is executed within the strictest tolerances. Before the next step, the results are checked through adequate measurements.

Outline
The Schleswig-Holstein enterprise employs ca 65 colleagues in Kiel plus 14 salesmen. About 35 % of the annual gross sales are covered by export. Apart from the ´ELAC traditional markets´, China, Taiwan, and Japan, two of the most important export markets are Russia and the United States, where quality ´Made in Kiel´ is highly appreciated.

Sale
In Germany, ELAC products are sold only by authorised dealers. A consistent European distribution system with EU contracts ratified in Brussels guarantees a clean marketing. ELAC is represented by various agents throughout the world, who follow the same distribution concept.
