Marten is developing three different product lines; Coltrane series is where you will find Marten's spectacular reference models. The Heritage series embodies Marten Design's original philosophy, refined and updated. And under development, the Design series, a new concept of speakers, designed to fit easily into a contemporary living space.

With our speakers, our goal is to reproduce music that is as close to reality as possible. We are not alone in trying to achieve this, of course, but our speakers are constructed to render music as close to this as possible, in a normal living space.
In this we are quite unique.

Most speakers on the market are designed to be placed freely in a room, as far away from any reflective surfaces as possible, often 1.0 �2.0 metres from the wall behind and beside. That is a rather easy way to design a speaker. Most people cannot place the speakers as the designer had in mind. The consequence is therefore that they end up quite close to the wall behind. The sound then becomes distorted, with a rather heavy and impure bass and inferior quality in the stereo- and deep perspective. Therefore, speakers by Marten are constructed for positioning close to the back wall and to a certain extent close to the side walls. That is considerably harder to achieve.

Instead, our speakers make use of reflective surfaces. We take advantage of the amplifying effect that the walls have on the bass range.
