Every loudspeaker component at Piega is hand crafted. For the wo founders of the company, quality is more than just a passion. It is an obsession that now also drives the small team of highly qualified employees.

Horgen is a small town on Lake Zurich, around 15 km from the city. It was here in an old factory on the lake that Kurt Scheuch and Leo Greiner in 1986 started to turn their shared dream into reality: the designer of a tweeter the like of which the world had never heard. The result of this was the LDR ribbon, which in terms of its accurate sound reproduction and efficiency, surpassed all conventional dome tweeters. Other innovations followed: a satellite subwoofer combination; the first column speaker made from metal composite; a ribbon midrange; loudspeakers with a tear-drop shaped chromium steel designer and later aluminum; and the world's first coaxial ribbon midrange/tweeter. The success story continues.
