Wood speaker systems is a relative newcomer on the loudspeaker market. The manufacturing is carried out in Skellefteå in northern Sweden and the man behind the company is Göran Eriksson. The product program consists today of a pair of large, twelve-edged prestige speakers that also are the subject for this test, a pair of smaller and more conventional loudspeakers, twelve-edged prestige Sub-Woofers and an exclusive surround system. During the development work, Göran has received assistance from some experienced musicians. He also had help from the Acoustics Group at Lulea University of Technology with, among other things, measurements in an anechoic chamber. A fundamental philosophy at Wood Speaker Systems is that one should enjoy and listen to music, and not to sounds. At the same time they mean that the appearance of the speakers is important, and because of this, they have put an effort in creating an attractive design.
